People between the age bet of thirty to thirty-nine years of age show high levels of forgetfulness.
Forgetfulness is mainly caused by the high levels of stress the individuals in their thirties experience in their lives. The stress that comes with every aspect an individual needs to handle while in their thirties is very high and it wouldn’t come to a surprise if you see such an individual experiencing forgetfulness. Some of the aspects these individuals need to put their minds on include advancing their careers or ideas, getting married, purchasing a new house for the family, getting kids and also trying to maintain relationships with their old friends. At this stage of life you may find yourself forgetting things rampantly and to counteract this it is advisable that you relax more, spend some time with friends, work out and also practice meditation through yoga.
People in their thirties also suffer from forgetfulness caused by high levels of anxiety. It is impossible for your brain to function properly when you are anxious and in most case you have a hard time thinking straight. It is also hard for you to remember events from previous days as anxiety affects your short term memory centers. It is advisable to have anxiety treated as this will see you live a normal life by improving your thinking, decision making and judgement.
Lack of enough sleep can also lead to forgetfulness. The minimum recommended amount of time you need to sleep is eight hours a night below which is unhealthy for your brain. The only remedy to this boosts your short term memory centers through enough sleep and you will see yourself remember things better.
There are medications which can affect your ability to remember. Some of the medications which can affect your brains ability to remember include Paroxetine, Oxybutynin, Amitriptyline, and Cimetidine. Other medications which can affect your memory during your thirties include cold and allergy medications which contain components of chlorpheniramine, brompheniramine or diphenhydramine. It is recommended that you avoid these drugs at all costs.
Memory loss and forgetfulness are also a characteristic of an individual who consumes a lot of alcohol. You cause a lot of damage to your long and short term memory centers if you have a habit of drinking too much in a short period of time and it is a high time you avoid doing this.
Your kids are the last thing that can push you to forget different things that you are supposed to do. Chances are high that you will forget many things around you including yourself when giving your kids the attention and affection they need.
